I just found a nice A-Z guide to Sydney boating. Check it out.

The 'West System' people have always given out a lot of free information. Their Magazine site has more.

The Yachting and Boating World forum has hundreds of thousands of postings from the practical boating magazine. Also of interest is the Practical Sailor how-to section.

Onpassage.com is a cruisers' portal with a really good windvane page, as well as a lot of other info. Check it out.

The BoatUS resource center (sic:) has heaps of how-to articles. Also of interest is the Sail magazine tips archive.

Everyone probably knows this page already, but I was looking for something and came across it again: The Mother of all Maritime Links.

Check out this Inflatable Washing Machine. Everyone on a boat resents the money that goes on washing. This is also a great mag if you need a personal helicopter, a flying car and/or the latest 2 seater jet.

Tidesend also has photocopied chart folios. for about $6 perchart.

Here is the link to the Pardeys' site. www.landlpardey.com. If you are not familiar with their books, Lin and LArry Pardey are a couple who have been out there for decades, and favour simple, smaller boats. Their current boat is a 30 footer they built themselves. We have anchored next to them in the Marquesas, and the appearance of their boat is a tribute to their discipline and eye for detail. We have most of their books, and every time I start thinking 40 footer I read one again. It reminds me that a smaller, well found boat is easier to handle and cheaper to keep.

Here's another cool cruising link: marinamap.com. Check it out!

I just found a cool new site with lots of sailing stories on it.
Check out Cruisenews.net.
It should take care of many a booring lunchtime at work.

Also of interest is the Dashew's site setsail.com.
If you can afford a 65ft yacht this is for you. They do sell some very good books.

Here is also a great link for the Admirals, Animated Knots.

Then there is the US NGA publications page, with free online versions of major publications. These include all the pilot charts atlases, Bowditch Practical Navigator, and also all of the Sailing Directions for the world! Enjoy.
